With a view to the expansion of the business connected to renewable energy, consistent with our mission to balance the oil and gas sector with the renewable energy, and in order to broaden our expertise in the service sector, Progeco has just signed a contract with REpower, the German leader in wind power.
On this purpose Progeco has appointed for REpower two of our technicians. They will specialise in the maintenance of wind turbines installed by REpower.
The course, that our technicians will attend in the southern Italy for about a month, is organized in a session of theoretical lessons regarding safety and specifications about wind turbines, after which our technicians will begin a field training on the wind generators. At the end a specialisation training is scheduled at the headquarters in Germany and then they will start field working.
This training course, with a view of business strategy, will give us the opportunity for a further expansion in the field of renewable energy during 2011 and over.

NEW CONTRACT FOR ENEL GREEN POWER
In early February Progeco srl, has been awarded a further contract with Enel Green Power, for the production of No. 9 centrifugal separators and No. 6 water tanks.
As for the previous contract for Enel Green Power, the supply that we will make will be installed in the geothermal area of Larderello (PI), and will be used for the production of electricity from geothermal steam.
Regarding the supply activities, they have been so divided. Rosignano offices will be involved in management, engineering and procurement, instead the workshops of our Bulgarian partner will be busy for about a year in construction activities.
The entire supply will have a total weight of 185 tonnes, and will be delivered to the customer spread out between June 2011 and the first half of 2012.
With the beginning of the new year, it has been ratified the partnership between Progeco Srl, Progeco Bulgaria and MTG-Dolphin, one of the biggest Bulgarian companies specializing in the marine industry, with the creation of a consortium.
The first target of the consortium is the implementation of all the necessary procedures to qualify as preferred vendor of ENI both in the offshore structures and modules sectors.
In particular, Progeco srl will be responsible for all the activities regarding Project Management, Procurement and structural engineering. Progeco Bulgaria will perform all the prefabrication activities, while MTG-Dolphin, capitalising its Yard, will be involved with the assembling and the load out activities.
This new strategy will allow us to break in new markets, such as the very interesting one regarding the design and supply of offshore platforms and modules for the oil & gas sector.

PROGECO has acquired two important new contracts with ENI.
The new supplies involving the realisation of Carbon Steel column with stainless steel cladding AISI 304L, and 43 some which are columns and some of which are vessels, which will be allocated to the innovative facility EST (Eni Slurry Technology) in the Refinery ENI in Sannazzaro de' Burgondi (Pavia - Italy).
The supply of pressure vessels shall comply with the requirements of PED directive, and also the 12 vessels will be built in compliance with NACE evidence of resistance to corrosion by wet H2S, and stringent specifications for nondestructive testing.
The final weight of the two supplies will be about 16 tons for the cladded column and 210 tons for the other 43 equipments, this will allow Progeco to add a new record.
The implementation will occur in the workshop of our partners PROGECO Bulgaria, and the delivery is scheduled in three separate batches in the period between April and May 2011.
Our vice-president and director of the construction division, Mr. Massimo Bottoni, commented the news: “We are very pleased of the acquisition of these two new contracts, mainly because it occurred in this time when the market is not simple, and because is a further confirmation of Progeco’s strategies to expand its operations in the field of boiler for the major international customers.”
The new contracts will provide to our group a good workload until the late spring of 2011.

Acquired a new contract for a very important client: SAIPEM
The new work includes the design and manufacture of safety locks for the navigation of the CastorONE’s stinger, a naval unit of the Saipem fleet to be used for the laying of submarine pipelines, currently under construction.
The stinger is an articulated structures that allows the exit of the pipe installation wizard. The one to be installed on CastorOne is about 110 meters long and a weight of over 1.500 tons.
The components of our supply will be used to lock and keep the stinger in a safe configuration during the navigation and it will include also the supports of the loads resulting from the weight of the stinger and the dynamic loads due to inertia of the system in extreme weather and sea conditions.
In summary, the constraints system is composed of two pairs of mirror structures "Internal Constraint" and "External Constraint" for a total weight of 80 tons. The structures are made from high strength steel with thicknesses between 20 and 100 mm to be approved and qualified by ABS (American Bureau of Shipping).
The contract includes the procurement activities, design including FEM calculation, construction and final testing. It’s also forecasted that the technical support for the installation and start up activities in the yard will be added to the supply.
The activities have just started and the delivery is expected in March 2011. The design and testing will be performed at our offices in Florence and Rosignano Solvay, while the construction, machining, heat treatment and painting will be performed in the workshop of Bulgaria Progeco in Varna.

Progeco acquires a new order for pressure vessels
Progeco has acquired a new contract with Tecnimont. It is a question of supplying 18 pressure vessels in carbon steel intended for plant PDH of Tobolsk, situated in Western Siberia ( Russian Federation).
The final customer is JSC SIBUR Holding. The total weight of supplies is about 85 tons. The containers must be made in accordance with Russian rules Gost and get the relevant certification.
The construction will be made in the workshop of our partner Progeco Bulgaria. The delivery is scheduled in three lots.
We are very satisfied with the acquirement of this new order especially in these hard times for all the markets, has remarked Mr Massimo Bottoni, vice President of Progeco, because it consolidates the business with this important customer and it allows us to continue manufacturing in our partner plant’s Progeco Bulgaria.

ARRIVAL OF THE AUTHORISATION FOR THE FIRST ITALIAN WIND FARM
With great pleasure the direction of Progeco Inc., today announced that the draft for the creation of the first Italian wind farm was unlock, the plan that involved the participation of Progeco in the production step of the wind farms.
In early May, came the official statement by the Regional Committee for Environmental Impact Assessment, Region of Puglia, authorizing the plan to start off the build for the first offshore wind farm in Italian waters.
The park, which will grow in the waters of Puglia, 20 km off Tricase, will consist of 24 blades that produce about 90 megawatts of power. The real innovation lies in the fact that the construction will be utilize the offshore deepwater technology, used for the manufacture of floating platforms. The total investment will be approximately 250.000.000 euros.

The new contract, awarded to Progeco at the end of December 2009, provides for the acquisition of a supply consistent of n°10 centrifugal separators, n° 5 cases of water and n° 2 of Steam Flowmeters.

"THE WIND OF TECHNOLOGY"
On 17 November 2009, was held at the Auditorium of the Chamber of Commerce of Livorno, the sixteenth day Orientagiovani entitled "The wind of technology."
The event was planned by Confindustria throughout the national territory, to offer students the opportunity to get closer, the world of business and labor, and have useful information for training choices that might facilitate the subsequent employability .
At the event, took part also our Vice - President, Dr. Massimo Bottoni, exposing the report "Offshore wind energy and the Green Jobs: prospects and opportunities."
The intervention of our Vice President has shown what are the prospects for offshore wind power in the Mediterranean Sea and the experiences that are brought forward by Progeco in this innovative sector. Particular emphasis was also given to work related to alterative energy, particularly offshore wind energy.
With pleasure and a touch of pride, Dr. Massimo Bottoni, Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of PROGECO Bulgaria, announced that Saturday, October 24th at 15 local time (Varna - Bulgaria), Ersai 4 has left the dock for Varna to take the route to the Caspian Sea.
Our vice-president embracing the opportunity to thank all those during these months have shared with him the joys, hopes, difficulties and cooperated eagerly as in a true team effort to achieve the ultimate goal, namely the transformation former ferry barge split in a workshop.

CEREMONY Completion ERSAI 4

And so, which opened the inaugural speech of our vice-president, Dr. Massimo Bottoni, September 15, 2009 for the ceremony of delivery of the former ferry Split, arrived in Varna on 20 June 2008, and now transformed into the barge workshop ERSAI 4 ". The ceremony was attended by the highest authorities of the city of Varna, among them Mr. Dancho Simeonov as mayor of the region of Varna. PROGECO Srl, delivers to Saipem - Varisal the vessel Ersai 4, the last workshop storage barge that will go to reinforce the marine park already present in the Caspian Sea. The completion of the works occurs after about 14 months of operation.
The project, which involved a joint venture with the partner PROGECO Bulgaria, committed people and resources of both companies, with peaks of up to 180 people. Both PROGECO workshops were involved in the construction work from June 2008 until August 2009.
The main activities of this work have been related to engineering, procurement, construction and assembly tasks for the conversion of the former ferry barge Split in a workshop with a offices area, that will support with other naval units the development of the Kashagan oilfield located in the North Caspian Sea.
The conversion work has allowed the construction of an extensive offices area for about 100 people inside the ship, a storage room for paints and one for raw materials, gases and consumables, a control room for the electrical plant and for the HVAC system and a fully equipped workshop, with overhead cranes and a wide range of equipment workshop to be used to perform a wide range of maintenance tasks.
Furthermore, for the conversion major changes in the general layout have been carried out, since the two upper decks (main deck and weather deck) were completely removed to allow the transfer of the vessel through the Volga – Don Channels.
The entire contract acquired by Varisal (joint venture between Saipem and Agip KCO) has a value of more than 6.5 million.

"Progeco delivers the Ersai to Saipem 4", this the title of the article appeared on the magazine of sector www.ship2Shore.it, with the interview to our Vice-president Massimo Bottoni.
The interview has been founded on the imminent delivery from Progeco of the ship ERSAI 4. The project foresees, the transformation of the ex ferry Split in a form shop that will give support to other boats in the naval park of the area of extraction of the Kashagan.
The workmanship has allowed to recreate inside the ship a wide area offices for around 100 people, a store for paints and one for raw materials, gas and consumable, a control room for the electric plant and of conditioning.
The whole contract acquired for Varisal (mixed society between AGIP KCO and SAIPEM) is esteemed in a value of over 6.5 million of European.

PROGECO Srl, construction division, has acquired a new project for the company USL 6 temporary grouping of companies with Frangerini Livorno.
The project provides for "seismic adjustment of the complex hospital in Portoferraio (Isola D'Elba) and subsequent integration platform for service helicopter".
The amount of the contract is € 2.400.000,00 of which € 830.000,00 for Progeco, for the construction and related assembly at the hospital in Portoferraio platform for the helicopter service.
The construction activities will be held at the partner Progeco Bulgaria starting next month of July - August and will end after about 3 months. Later Progeco srl perform works by mounting in the Island of Elba (LI).

PROGECO Srl, Construction Division, has a close working relationship with Thales Alenia Space (Finmeccanica Group), a leader in the aerospace sector for a project that has its final score NASA.
Progeco will build and will plan three equipment for welding and assembly of COTS modules, which will bring fuel and basic subsistence to the International Space Station.
The first part of the work will focus on the modification of a circumferential weld tool currently used for the production of modules ATV, which must be modified by Progeco to adapt to new forms, made it very challenging job because of the large size of the object to change (two "baskets" to be about 4.5 m in diameter) and the need to design from scratch a system that enables automatic handling of fixing the cylinders to be welded into place suitable for welding.
The second equipment is to be made a cart for the X-ray and Eddy Current welding of a component of the conical form, prior to its assembly with other parts, and the last execution carried Progeco as the construction of a stop assembly with a mobile gangway that allows the operators to move inside and outside of the module to install special equipment that will contain the materials to be sent to the International Space Station.
The contract, with a value over several hundreds of thousands of euro will be completed within a very short time, the first equipment should be delivered no later than 02/10/09, but the others are scheduled for 04/11/09 and 26/01/10.
The manufacturing will be done by the partner Progeco BULGARIA, in the workshop of Varna, in starting next month of July-August, from which the equipment will be shipped to the customer's plant in Turin, while in Italy will be carried out activities of procurament, project management and three-dimensional basic engineering and detail.
Friday April 17th 2009, at the restaurant Il Calesse in Quercianella (LI), during an evening organized by the Rotary Club “Castiglioncello e Colline Pisano Livornese", was held a conference entitled: "The off-shore wind farm in international scenario in the Mediterranean ", held by our Vice President Massimo Bottoni.

NEW PROJECT FOR NEUMAN & ESSER
PROGECO has been awarded another important work for the client Neuman & Esser.
The project for Petrofac Syria includes design, procurement, purchase of materials and construction of No. 2 compressor packages for gas regeneration (item no. C-2401 A / B) and a compressor package (item No. C-2503) "de-ethanizer overhead."
All the items will be installed at the gas-processing facility that is located in the sirian city of Jihar.
The head of the construction division and PROGECO vice president, Dr. Massimo Bottoni, has said, concerning the new project: "This new contract strengthens the relationship with this important customer and sees our company increasingly involved in the design and construction of "turnkey" compressor package.”

PROGECO s.r.l. has acquired a new customer: OPTIMUS ENGINEERING.
The new contract was signed in early September by PROGECOBulgaria and the Bulgarian company Optimus, Petreco Group, and includes the construction of 2 reboilers and 2 columns ASME Stamped, for the de-ethanisation and de-buthanization of hydrocarbons. The total weight of the vessels will be around 76 tonnes.
The equipments will be part of the West Dikirnis LPG plant, located in Egypt.
The importance of the project is due to the fact that these vessels are ASME U-Stamped. PROGECOBulgaria is currently the only company in Bulgaria that has reached this important certification milestone.

PROGECO s.r.l. has acquired an important contract by Varisal (joint enterprise between AGIP KCO and SAIPEM) for the conversion of a ferry barge in a workshop, designed to perform support functions in the park located near naval gas reserves in the Kashagan (Caspian Sea).
Currently classified by the Croatian naval register, ERSAI 4 will become for all intents and purposes Kazakh flag flying, and once arrived in the Caspian Sea will pass under the Russian naval register.
Born to serve as a form workshop in support of other naval vessels of the park and activities that are conducted in the extraction, ERSAI 4 will also present a wide area offices for about 100 persons, a paint store, a warehouse for raw materials, Gas and consumables, a control room for electrical system and air-conditioning.
The conversion project will be carried out in collaboration with the partners operating PROGECOBULGARIA (Varna), thanks to the present facilities at this reality, the first among all the dock port on the Black Sea.
During the conversion the ship suffer heavy changes in the general layout, since the two upper decks (main deck and weather deck) will be removed to allow the transfer of the vessel through the channels Volga - Don.
The contract, value of 6.5 million euros, provides for delivery at the end of January 2009.
PROGECOEngineering acquires an important order from Neuman & Esser Italy: NEA Italy already Customer of PROGECO Srl for the packaging of their Alternative Compressors has awarded a contract to Progeco Engineering for the development of multidisciplinary No. 7 Alternative Compressors and all its auxiliary systems.The contract will be developed at the offices of Rosignano Solvay for the Instrumentation, in Florence for the Mechanics and in Ploiesti at Engeco Rom for the part of appliances pressure.
New contract and new customer in the automotive sector: PROGECOEngineering has signed an important agreement for the development of engineering activities with the company Mecaprom in Turin specialized in the design and engines prototyping for cars and mopeds.
The new order signed between PROGECO’s Construction Division and NEUMAN & ESSER concerns the acquisition for the supply of two package for reciprocated compressors for propane mod. 1 TZL 30. The package will have the following technical features: operation flow rate 1200 N/m³h, design flow rate 1800 N/m³h; suction pressure 7,7 Kg/cm²; discharge pressure 24 bar.
The project also provide the construction of n.2 mineral lube oil console, to be installed in the refinery of CEPSA located Huelva Spagna.
14/02/2008 - PROGECO COMES INTO RENEWABLE ENERGY BUSINESS
PROGECO’s Construction Division signed an important contract with Sky Saver, an Italian company forming part of the multinational Dutch BLUE H Technologies BV. The project concern the construction, the assembly and the transport up to the plant of the live structure of the FCU (Fisrt commercial unit) for the first Italian offshore wind farm, in deep waters (108 mt.), located at 20 Km from the apulian coast, in the Adriatic sea. The contract, valued at over 2 million of euro, clinch at the end of 2008. The acquisition of the order of the FCU is strategic to our company, as the field will be consist from 25 commercial units to be built within 2012. The 28th of February 2008 it also signed a letter of intent for the construction of the second operation unit, full counterweight (the total value of over 4 million euro), with delivery in June 2009. PROGECO has also been made in negotiating the master agreement for the implementation of the remaining units of the Apulian camp and still less the implementation of other offshore fields in the Mediterranean Sea. PROGECOEngineering e ENGECO ROM will be involved in the development of engineering works, while Progeco Bulgaria will be involved for the construction of a wharf and assembly, activities that will begin for the FCU, at the end of May 2008.
An important Order by Saipem: consolidates the relationship between PROGECO Engineering and E&MS, today become SES (Saipem Energy Services), thanks to the trust of an important engineering work valued at about 500,000 euros concerning the revamping of gas treatment plant in the north of Russia.
New Customer for PROGECOEngineering: in February ISG an important Engineering Company of Milan has commissioned to PROGECOEngineering an order for the realization of a design Purification Package. This order opens the way for the design of PROGECO skid Process.
The whole design will be developed in Florence with the cooperation of the partner ENGECO.
PROGECOENGINEERING: NEW CONTRACT WITH GROUP SAIPEM
After one year of suspension in the activities of engineering for the Saipem, PROGECOEngineering has acquired this important contract for the SES (Saipem Energy Services) lasting for 2 years and provided an initial amount of 500,000 euros.
DIVISION PROGECO ENGINEERING ACQUIRES A NEW CUSTOMER: ENIPOWER
A new important customer part of the Eni Group has been acquired in January, what in particular manages the central ENIPOWER inside the ENI R&M of Leghorn, where Progeco has worked by now for many years as strategic engineering partner.
PROGECOENGINEERING IN AUTOMOTIVE SECTOR:
Was acquired from the Offices of Rosignano an important contract for engineering services by Customer mechanical Pierburg Seat of Leghorn, a leader in the construction of oil pumps for vehicles.
This contract rewards the efforts towards diversification of the areas of engineering in which normally operates PROGECOEngineering.
On November 29, 2007 in the office of Notary Gaetano D’Abramo in Rosignano Solvay was set up a consortile company with limited liability, and it will be composed between PROGECOEngineering and Enseco, called TGE (Tuscany Global Engineering).
The initiative is intended to create a synergy of skills that will ensure a consolidation and development of ties with Ge Oil & Gas Nuovo Pignone. Moreover, it is intended to create a new avenue to fresh horizons in the market of multidisciplinary engineering.
