PROGECO creates the Business Offshore Unit Wind

PROGECO Srl is an engineering construction society, acting for more than 29 years in the field of systems, mechanical and electric devices.
PROGECO knows how  to bind together its own technical abilities, from the project development  to the fabrication in low cost countries (Rumania where the engineering activity is developed thanks to the  partner ENGECO ROM SPA  and Bulgaria where  offshore constructions with great dimensions are manufactured thanks to the  partner PROGECO BULGARIA SA) becoming a strategic factor for projects where quality, control of the costs and respect of the time limits  are the key factors for success.

In order to develop its own business, PROGECO created an inner Business Unit dedicated to the offshore structures development in the wind field, matching the experience obtained in fabrication of similar structures in the Oil and Gas field (platforms, modules, skids, equipments, ect) with the expansion that the offshore aeolic energy will have in the near future. Technicians and Project Managers with remarkable experience, are involved in the new business unit of the future and more specifically in the wind energy offshore, building up an orderly structure able to meet  the requirements of our customers, and at the same time being very well organized.

Following the market forecasts carried out by the EWEA (European Association for the Wind Energy), the situation could result in a real boom; in fact according to the research in 2020 the marine  Wind complexes will be able to supply between 20 and 40 GW of power. If the offshore is able to follow the results recorded by the onshore in the last 14 years, it could reach 50 GW. 

Due to the experience obtained by know PROGECO is in a position to become operating partner and a point of reference for all the investors that need a reliable supplier able to follow all the operational  problems  of a Wind Farm (offshore construction of structures, assembling, transportation to the site of installation, package of machines/small boats, engineering, project management, etc). 

The engineering of machines and the construction of small boats can be made, thanks to the rich experience already obtained in the Power and Oil & Gas field for primary international customers like  engineering of rotary spots (turbines, compressors, etc) as well as  realization of complete packages.

Currently PROGECO is constructing on the behalf of BLUE H TECHNOLOGIES BV and SKY SAVER, the First Commercial Unit of the wind farm in Tricase (Puglia), the first offshore Wind project approved  in Italy.
